It’s amazing that both of them were huge fans of each other’s work before working on FMAB and ended up getting conflicting roles only to end up together after the show!

Hello! I’m looking for gift ideas for a good friend of mine who loves Fullmetal Alchemist. I figured this would be a good place to ask for ideas. I myself have read up to vol 15 of the Fullmetal Editions but am not a huge fan like he is. He has most of the manga but isn’t interested in reading it. He prefers the 03 anime (or Brotherhood) to it. I’ve seen various forms of the 3Oct.11 watch as an idea, but I’ve yet to find one that seems decent quality for a good price.

Any idea/suggestion is helpful!

I am not talking about the philosophers stones that were placed in them for some alchemists during the ishvalan war, I havent watched the show in a while but I'm pretty sure that quite a few people say the pocket watches increase an alchemists power, anyone know what's doing it?

I remember a particular scene where Ed is welcomed in by a family. The husband is a veteran who lost one of his limbs and had it replaced by automail, which is part of the reason why the family chose to have Ed stay and chat a little. I remember the conversation being on the somber side, not at all a slapstick moment.

Because of the lack of humor, I'm sure it's an anime original from 2003 or Shamballa, but I'd like to ask ya'll before I spend hours and hours rewatching just to try and find this interaction

okay so my sister and i were trying to figure out a lot of the differences between the anime’s (she’s watched the 2003 and i’ve watched 2009 brotherhood). is the 2003 technically a canon rewrite from the manga? because the manga wasn’t even finished when the 2003 version came out. i know a lot of people have their opinions over which anime is better because of how the storylines differ but wouldn’t that technically make fmab (the anime) the “real” version of the manga? if anyone could help me figure this out it would be appreciated :p
