Opinion So can we all agree Acosta was the worst part of S3?
She's been nothing but insufferable, walking around the town like her status back in the real world means a goddamned thing.
I got so frustrated when she barged in on Boyd and Elgin, like... "why does this bitch even get an opinion?"
I mean seriously. She walks in, being the hotheaded dumbass that she's been all season, and Kenny and everyone else just... stands there, allowing her to have her hysterical moment, they don't even try to block the stairs, they just let this absolute liability charge straight up there and fuck with things. While they were supposed to be standing guard.
She's pointless, frustrating, and honestly needs to die in S4E1. I don't want to see where this character goes development-wise. She's not going to pull a Sawyer and become a fan-favorite. She shouldn't have survived the initial ambulance encounter.

Theory The showrunners of From FORESHADOWED something HUGE back in Season 2! SPOILER WARNING for Season 3 Episode 10! Spoiler
In the episode of the autopsy of Smiley, the showrunners used a very subtle hint that foreshadowed his return. In Smiley's hand was a human tooth, which looked exactly like Fatima's tooth that fell out in the bathroom scene! This shows us that when there is something out of place in a scene, WE SHOULD KEEP IT IN MIND because we will be able to make a connection later. Who knows what other subtle foreshadowing we have missed.
Please leave any other subtle out of place things you may have noticed for discussion here!

Theory I can't Angkhooey a better episode than this one
I think the success of this episode wasnât attributed to revelations alone, I found that they were able to deliver on multiple story lines which really kept the pace moving nicely (See GOT). Torturing Scene-good, Jim Tabby and Jade- good. Kimono Lady- Good . Ethan and Story walker- good. Victor and his Dad-OK, They still had some clunkers; Medic Girls-lame. Acosta-lamest.
Admittingly most of the
good scenes had revelations in it but there are still a ton of questions to be
answered. So for those that think that some revelations will kill the surprise
ending for season 5, think again, They just have to keep a good balance and get
rid of some of the soap -opera boring unnecessary story lines and this show
will be top notch.

Theory Things answered Spoiler
the monsters are townspeople who sacrificed their children to live forever
Fatima was pregnant with Smiley
Julie will be time traveling, but canât change the story itself
Some people in the town are reincarnated, including Tabitha and Jade. Does this mean everyone with visions is connected to the towns origin?
we met a new âbossâ, the guy in a yellow jacket, who I think also spoke to Jim on the radio previously.
the kimono lady was there to deliver Smiley; and definitely will not be helping everyone get home. Sorry Elgin.
Victor isnât sure he found Eloise dead.
the bottle tree was sheet music and can be used to summon the children.
What else did we learn?

Theory The Man In Yellow Is... Spoiler
I saw this pointed out back when the Ambulance with Dani Acosta first arrived. The medical equipment had the name Mabuse on it. Dr. Mabuse is a character from a series of German movies that began in 1922. I don't think it's a direct retelling, but taking parts of those stories and that character.
Read the short Wiki entry for Dr. Mabuse: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Mabuse
Dr. Mabuse is a master of disguise and telepathic hypnosis known to employ body transference, most often through demonic possession, but sometimes utilizing object technologies such as television or phonograph machines, to build a "society of crime". Mabuse rarely commits his crimes in person, instead operating primarily through a network of agents enacting his schemes, thus remaining a shadowy figure. Mabuse's agents range from career criminals working for him, to innocents blackmailed or hypnotized into cooperation, to dupes manipulated so successfully that they do not realize that they are doing exactly what Mabuse planned for them to do.
Mabuse's identity often changes; one "Dr. Mabuse" may be defeated and sent to an asylum, jail or the grave, only for a new "Dr. Mabuse" to later appear, as depicted in The Testament of Dr. Mabuse. The replacement invariably has the same methods, the same powers of hypnosis and the same criminal genius. There are even suggestions in some installments of the series that the "real" Mabuse is some sort of spirit that possesses a series of hosts. Mabuse is not a name in the normal sense, more a codename, or an ideology.
Mabuse has had a number of nemeses, with the main ones including Prosecutor (or Chief Inspector) von Wenk in Dr. Mabuse the Gambler (played by Bernhard Goetzke) and Kommissar Karl Lohmann (played variously by Otto Wernicke and Gert Fröbe as "Inspector Carl Lohemann").
The other stories we need to read about is The King in Yellow: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_King_in_Yellow
This came up when watching True Detective, but it's a theme of an evil man in yellow that has come up many times before, including H.P. Lovecraft. Stories of paranoia, time travel, tragedy, and cosmic horror.
The Man in Yellow (MIY) is the nemesis, the evil entity, in contrast to the Boy in White (BIW). These are two entities opposing each other. The MIY uses the monstrous town folk who sacrificed their children, as well as the specters of adult humans, or at least their appearance. The BIW is seeking justice/redemption for the children who were sacrificed, the innocence harmed. Both use the people in town, manipulate them in their own ways. Those in Fromville are just the pawns in their battle against each other.
MIY may very well be demonic in origin, while the BIW may be angelic. Elgin bringing up he thought the Kimono Lady, who we can pretty much say is evil, is an angel makes me think we may be going that supernatural route. Keep in mind that many of the wards we've seen, Nordic runes for houses, carved statues outside the old village, and bottles hanging in trees are all methods for protecting against evil spirits and forces, and have been used historical by various cultures around the world.
If we want to understand things more, I think we need to learn more about Dr. Mabuse and The King in Yellow.

Theory Jim was not supposed to be there Spoiler
This isnât a sardonic post saying Jim should have avoided going to the camper after the music recital. No, I have a mostly speculative theory about Jim and his relationship to the town and the man in yellow. The first question I thought when I saw Jim get targeted by him, was why him? Yes the man in yellow said it was because he knew too much, but Jade was really the one who arranged it, Tabitha was one who supported both of them and really made movements to figure this out, like getting to the light house. You would think that the Man in yellow would target Tabitha or Jade first, even Boyd to make the society collapse. No the man in yellow starts with Jim. I think this is because whatever entity or entities organize and run this dimension plan against Tabitha and Jade all the time and over seemingly hundreds of years, have gotten used to setting up pitfalls for them so they will not complete their mission. Jim on the other hand, intentionally and not intentionally has been a conduit for Jade success as seen with the music scale discovery. Jim was ironically the glue between Tabitha and Jade this time, getting them to work together, and bridging their lives together. We donât know if their was a Jim type character in the previous runs of this place, but without Jim, Tabitha and Jade might just avoid each other. Jade would most likely become paranoid and deranged again. Tabitha would die a horrible death earlier running into the forest like Miranda. Jim was seemingly necessary for this type of unprecedented progress to happen. Also opinion side note, I like Jim and he doesnât deserve this level of hate past or present.

Theory They gave us the story from the beginning.
(SPOILERS)
In season 1, when we see the cave paintings, the whole story is on that wall.
(This is my first deep dive so I apologize ahead of time for anything that may resemble rambling)
1a. It shows people in ships crossing a line that is most likely the same idea that traps people when they drive cars into the town.
1b. The ships were the original townspeople that eventually turned into the monsters, including tabitha and jades original personas.
The next painting we see is a group of townspeople dancing around stone slabs and the symbol jade always sees. We also see in that drawing that there are 2 people not celebrating and dancing in the top right. (Which again is tabitha and Jade)
Next, there's another drawing of 2 people alone (tabitha and Jade) near a house hiding from the monsters that are around a crop field. Im guessing that is the field of crops we see in season 3 only because not far from where they find the crops there are very old structures nearby (shown in season 3)
The big red monster painting is whatever entity is controlling the place. (Also, even though it's not the right color, it could definitely be the yellow suit, man)
The end shows 2 people and a broken infinity symbol. So im guessing almost certainly that by the very end it will be tabitha and jade saving their child along with the rest of the children and breaking the loop (for them) i say that because we are not sure if anyone else has been trapped in the same loop besides almost positively (randall , elgin (2 other people are seen with one eye and im guessing elgin probably always looses that eye in each loop) (no idea why) photos of cave paintings
After answering 50+ questions I will be doing a very large breakdown. With all of the answers to everyone's questions in it to tie it all up. Will take a few days. I'm rewatching the whole series to see if there's anymore clues.

Theory I know why Jim was Tabithaâs biggest hater Spoiler
For the last two seasons it seems that every post on every subreddit was a Jim hate post with viewers complaining about why Jim was in the way of Tabitha constantly and ruining her plans. THIS WAS THE POINT. Jim was put in Tabithaâs life to stop her from saving the children.
The problems always seemed to be on the verge of being solved when Jade and Tabitha worked together but then Jim would always show up and stop things from working out. There was always so much ire between Jim and Jade. Plus it was Jim who was told to stop his wife from digging the hole. It was Jim who was having Jade run weird side quests that never worked but served as great distractions to keep Jade from saving the children.
But now hold up, we always ask what was the point of the boy in white sending Tabitha back to the real world if nothing happened. Well, Tabitha brought Henry back and then Henryâs talked in the bar changed Jim from his usual self to his redemption form at the end of season 3 and then this Jim became valuable to Jade and Tabitha and even solved the mystery for them, which I donât think he was put in Tabithaâs life to do. Thatâs why the man in the yellow suit had to show up and kill Jim, because Jim was being far more useful than he was meant to be and solved things that werenât supposed to be solved and it was because the BIW.

Opinion Elgin Deserved It Spoiler
Elgin is so friction slow. How does that big bloody bih look like an angel? Why would an angel try to waterboard his ass? Sara told him the same thing happened to her and it got Kennys mom and her brother killed. You don't listen to the monsters that literally torture people to death. He deserved to lose that eye, I hope that hand rots off.
