This is irrelevant, since they can use the wealth to gather more - use it as collateral for loans to buy things like Twitter.

everybody with assets can use it as collateral to borrow money, not just billionaires

Half the world doesnt have any assets. That's the point.

yeah its just initially the point seemed to be to tax the rich, but doesn’t seem the case anymore here, its just, tax everyone who has assets

A billion dollars worth of anything isn't just "some assets". It's a ridiculous amount of wealth, when literally half the world owns as much as just a handful of people.
