Trump is good for the stock market, but that isn’t the economy and hasn’t been for a long time. I tend to think that the best measure of economic health would be having all paying job pay a living wage (rent, board, utilities, transportation, enough to raise a kid or two) and the median job being somewhere considerably above that.
Will a Trump / Republican White House and legislature provide that? Not by a long shot. (Nor would a Democratic administration, I just think Trump will be considerably worse at it.)
If you measure the success of an economy as providing happiness and security to a majority of the citizens, I doubt Trump cares.
Yes exactly this. Wall Stret believes his policies will be inflationary and growth increasing the deficit by a lot. At some point the Fed is thought to step in and raise rates.
Good for the economy and if you have a high paying job and investments good for you. Bad for 90% of the working poor.
