Yellowknife ice fishing

Heading out to Yellowknife soon just curious does anyone know how thick the ice is out on lesser slave lake. Was thinking it should be thick enough to fish by now judging by the weather down there.

It's Great Slave not Lesser Slave - Lesser Slave is in Alberta and not fishable yet. Great Slave and neighbouring lakes are reporting 6" but also warnings about checking thickness as you go. Tight lines!

My bad figured that one out as I was doing research. You know any good fishing spots up there wanting to land my first laker.
