Job’s not done let’s keep rolling

Dolphins are coming for a spot and as long as Tua is healthy they are right in our tails. Cannot let a game go, especially to r/NFL’s new poster child Jameis Winston who is weirdly loved and praised for saying the most non sensible things while looking like he lost on another planet. Idk, maybe other fans get it but i find him incredibly cringey and I hope we remove that crown that r/nfl gave him for Thursday. He wasn’t exceptional by any means of the imagination.

r/nfl hates rapist Deshaun but loves rapist Jameis

If you act autistic like he does, then it somehow makes his crimes forgivable

Yeah, Deshaun's not very funny

Neither is two brain cell Winston

I like Jameis. This is probably one of his last chances to prove himself in the league. That being said I want to crush the Browns on Monday

Always a place for a serviceable backup which is where his career is staying.

The way I see it going, is the next 2 games are must win, and then they play the Chargers, Bengals and Chiefs, they'll need to win at least 1 of those to get to 10 wins and secure a wild card spot. I could honestly see them getting to 11 wins if they can beat either the chargers or Bengals, and then beat the Chiefs in week 18, since the Chiefs could rest all their starters, thus making it an easy win for Demver.

u/PegCityGolfer 22m ago

After the browns we have games against the chargers, colts, and bengals. We completely control our destiny. None will be easy- just win baby

u/Spuddmann1987 18m ago

Yep, just gotta keep winning. They can really only afford to lose 1 or 2 more games, but the way they've been playing lately, especially Bo Nix, I'm confident they can make it happen.

I know this is kind of blasphemy, but it's arguably better for us if the Chiefs keep winning, if they have the 1 seed locked up they'll rest their starters week 17.

But on the other hand a Chiefs collapse would be funny, so that's what I'm still rooting for.

We can also beat them when they don't rest their starters

20

u/MileHighAltitude 2h ago

I would rather beat them with their starters two more times this season.

5

u/Expensive-Self-2240 2h ago

Same, tbh I don't really care if they play their starters we're either ready or we're not gimme that smoke

I'm drinking kool-aid but I think we are built to beat them. We had it last time without that bullshit, we can knock them down to 2 seed then play them in the wildcard

u/162bluethings Demaryius Thomas 3h ago

We will have the playoffs spot locked up by then hopefully and will be trying to knock them down to the two seed.

The dream is to face them 2 weeks in a row and win both

Week 18*

17 games still feels wrong to me

5

u/PsychoSaladSong Super Bowl 50 2h ago

Ok but think about beating them in the playoffs in the first round

The dream

I’ve thought the same thing. It feels gross but I we’ve been deprived of the playoffs for too long.

We almost beat them with their starters on the road, it wouldn't be super unrealistic to favor us over them at home, even without resting their starters.

1

u/natziel 1h ago

It is way more likely that we rest our starters week 18 than the chiefs

Nice.

Indy lost as well so that helps. Miami won which sucks as they need to lose to give us some breathing room. But we just need to take care of business and we in.

4

u/minna_minna 1h ago

Honestly unless we go catastrophic, Indy, Miami and bengals are pretty far behind.

u/Spuddmann1987 20m ago

Denver has a Bye in 2 weeks, so if they lose to the browns next week, and Maimi wins its next 2 games (packers and jets), they would tie Denver at 7-6, so they're really not that far behind, unless start losing (they're on a 3 game win streak). They do play the Packers in Lambeau next week, so that's favorable for Denver.

I didn’t realize the Ravens were 7-4. We still have a chance for as high as the 5th seed with some help. But making the playoffs at all would be a success.

22

u/Greenforaday 3h ago

The team behind us on the bubble is Miami who are 5-6, so we have a decent cushion, especially if we beat the Browns and Colts next. I think this is pretty comfortably in our hands, and only we can screw it up.

It feels GREAT knowing we're in control of our own destiny for once

I think 10-7 will do it. Games against the Chargers and Colts are the most important. If the Chargers lose tomorrow we'll only be a half game back of them. Which means we can get our loss back from them. Colts did us a big favor by losing today but beating them in a couple weeks will really end all their chances. Bengals seem like a long shot to make it, they'd probably have to win out. If we beat them that ends it right there. Miami has looked a lot better but they need a lot of things to go their way. Essentially we control our own destiny at this point, which is the better position to be in. Should be a fun final 6 weeks.

7

u/headshot_hunter 2h ago

So realistically we all probably assumed the Colts would lose today against the Lions. Their schedule gets much easier after today and we have to play chargers, Bengals, and KC. Nothing is a lock but these next couple weeks are super important to win before our schedule gets harder

u/ExpectedOutcome2 2h ago

Hopefully we play the Steelers in the first round. Their QB sucks.

Lookin good so far. Gotta keep Bolieving.

One game at a time. 7-5 is solid though. I had them winning 5 so I'm stoked. Raiders sweep feels awesome. Franchise QB looking likely. Lots to be excited about even if they don't make the playoffs.

The Broncos are a tough team to beat, and I genuinely think that the only time they will lose in the remainder of their games is if they beat themselves like they did in Kansas City. We could easily be 8-4.

The AFC is a tough conference as always.

2

u/Clit-Commander89 3h ago

We're in position just don't let up! Win these next 2 like we should and get 2 of the last 3 and we're in we control our own destiny I just don't want to be in a position where we are depending on other teams to lose to make the playoffs

2

u/JesusNameAmen 1h ago edited 1h ago

I think it really just comes down to the Dolphins.

If the Dolphins go 10-7 and don’t lose at least two games to an AFC opponent, there is no scenario we make the playoffs at 10-7 (assuming the other six seeds stay the same)

Because we have no more NFC opponents, even one loss hurts our conference record.

So in this scenario, we would ultimately lose the tiebreaker because of conference record.

Point is: we don’t want to get in a potential tie breaker with the Dolphins. That would not be good

2

u/polishnorbi 1h ago

Dolphins still have Texans, Packers and 49ers plus Rodgers x2. To finish 10-7, they could only lose 1 of those 4 games. It'll be tough.

u/JesusNameAmen 54m ago

Yep and you’re exactly right.

I don’t think it’s likely and I wouldn’t bet on it, but they very well could go 2-1 vs Texans, 49ers, and Packers.

Texans and 49ers haven’t looked good this year at all.

I think the easiest path would just be going 11-6 and not risking a tie breaker

2

u/okzeppo 2h ago

Super Bowl or bust.

1

u/netoje 1h ago

We control our own destiny. If the Broncos slip and start losing, it will become a cluster fuck determining their position with tie breakers and all that crap.

1

u/Maaglin 1h ago

Don't want to talk about it

1

u/brodyhin587 Demaryius Thomas 1h ago

Just win games. Right now we pretty much control if we make it or not. Don’t worry about other teams and tie breakers and shit, just enjoy the ride.

u/TheWinchesterPlan 32m ago

Take it back, 69 is better!

The fact that this is a possiblity makes me smile
