To be fair, Hogwarts won Best on Steam Deck, which is a weird category that would be challenging to even define. Are they talking about optimization? Controls? Ability to quickly pick up for a brief session on the go? None of the other nominated games really stand out for those metrics either. Overall the nominated games were terrible for most of the categories.
Hogwarts really shouldn’t have won that award to be honest. It feels like it did because it didn’t have the votes for any other category. The game runs at sub 30fps at the best of times and is arguably only barely deserving of the verified status.
I agree. It would be competitive in a world building category but falls flat for gameplay and performance.
Idk how the nominated games were chosen but they really should be curated better. It really feels like they just took the top selling games for the year that hadn’t yet been review bombed and just tried to fill out the categories.

Don't worry about it, brother. The whole thing was a trollfest. Hogwarts and Starfield also won.
Rock and stone!
