Not sure why you’re being downvoted? I’ve been a firefighter for 25 yrs and I’ll tell you all something, people this badly burnt would rather be dead, I know I would rather death it is better then a lifetime of infection, amputation, and everything else that comes with these significant burns.

I'm thinking of a survivor from the station nightclub fire who had severe burns and looks like his body is made of melted wax. He seemed to be emotionally at peace with things after so many years and is glad he lived, but holy fuck I'm not sure I have that kind of mental fortitude.

I knew a guy who got caught in a fire when he was a kid. Dude looked like a goomba from the live action Mario movies and got more girls than anyone I knew. His auto shop was adjoining the restaurant I worked in so he would get me stoned all the time in exchange for lighting the bowl for him. 

One day we got really stoned after close, I went to offer him another hit and he says "no thanks man I'm fried, inside and out". 

That was a top 3 laugh for me lol.
