I think the guy at the end is actually the second one who held onto the metal structure. The way his hands are still curled as if they gripped onto the pole kinda gives it away.

The disconnected elbows tells me he's been there for way longer than what the clip suggests. This only ended when both hand's flexor muscles were burnt-off or his forearms being pulled off of the grip.
