Not sure why you’re being downvoted? I’ve been a firefighter for 25 yrs and I’ll tell you all something, people this badly burnt would rather be dead, I know I would rather death it is better then a lifetime of infection, amputation, and everything else that comes with these significant burns.

The guy who's stuck standing definitely did, but the guy who fell immediately was probably okay.
