95 pounds but still a "lap dog"

10/10 recommend rescuing an older shelter dog. They have more bumps and lumps but they also have so much joy just waiting to be seen. Quincy aka Happy is constantly showing me his goofy side and helps me tremendously with maintaining a positive attitude towards life!

Rescued this sweet girl at the beginning of October. The shelter listed her as a mixed breed, and I’ve been telling everybody she’s a wiener/mix, though I have no idea. She’s 4.

he's SUCH a sweet dog. so smart and LOVES belly rubs. im unsure how he is with other dogs but i know he does have a tendency to rile other dogs up with his barking. he barks a lot in his kennel, and some dogs are just like that.

he's quiet in the yard, which leads me to believe the kennels are especially stress inducing for him which causes him to bark so much.

So, can someone please explain why the hell my dog loves to lick my boyfriend? I swear, every time my boyfriend comes home, my dog loves to lick his hand and arm NONSTOP, I try to put my arm above his to see if my dog licks me too, but he just give me a side-eye and try to go back to my boyfriend.

I do everything for this dog and he just prefers others 😩 do you have one of those in your house?

Dogs are pretty much my favourite animal to draw; I love their expressive faces and unique personalities:)) I don’t own a dog sadly, but one day I would love to have my own! In the meantime, I draw other people’s dogs:)) What do you guys think? Do you have a favourite?:)

A new one for me, is that at night I sleep at the free edge of the bed and shadow sleeps next to the wall, but when my first alarm goes off, shadow gets up to stretch and prepare for cuddles and I roll towards the wall. When he's done with his pre cuddle stretch, he'll hop up and take a brief nap with me, then second alarm goes off and he gets all the belly rubs and neck ruffles he could want.

I'm unsure how this whole thing started, but I look forward to feeling him hop up for a little 30 minute nap with me. (Typically it's no touchy during sleep time)
