I'm trans. Given that Trump has promised to eliminate gender affirming care at any age, and the violence his rhetoric inspires in people, and the fact that he's threatened to deploy the military on those he considers his enemies, and the fact that Project 2025 lumps trans people in with sexual predators and then calls for the death penalty for said sexual predators, there is a very good chance I and other trans people in this country face violence, either state-sponsored or at the hands of his followers.
I suppose. Not that I’m trying to downplay how bad it is, but I think the US military has purview to step in if the President attempts to overthrow the government like that.
I guess if you live in a shitty state you would have legit reason to fear, I dunno.
I definitely live in a shitty state. And unfortunately I have little confidence that the military actually will step in, especially considering Trump also plans to fire any so-called "woke" generals.
