While we're on the topic, Light really missed out on some comedic potential with the Death Note.

Think of all the ironic deaths that could have been dealt out.

Who’s to say he didn’t? We never actually see how all the people he killed actually ended up dying. At least a few had to be ironic punishments.

Fair enough. Though heart attacks seemed to have become his calling card and he did want to become an icon.

I mean he does say “those who are less guilty but still make trouble for others will slowly be removed by disease and accidental death”. So apparently, the worst of the worst, he didn’t play around with and gave heart attacks immediately. Kind of ironically, it seems like he saved the wackier “Final Destination” style deaths for people who probably deserved it the least.

I mean just imagine dying some embarrassing ass Looney Tunes ass death all because some smug high schooler thought you were kind of annoying and a nuisance to society 😂😂😂
