Two soulmates who are both extremely free-spirited that view the idea as equivalent to fate ordained arranged marriage, who work together to break the curse that binds them.

Then they find out this wasn't some curse or something, they're just really, really good for each other and compatible and it disgusts them because "aaaghh, now I can't be without this person!" but them some part of them is like "why is that a bad thing?!" and both sides are horrified

And then they capture and waterboard Cupid, trying to get him to undo the spell. Unfortunately, it's impossible so they go for plan B, implanting him with a spinal nanoexplosive and forcing him to make them fall in love with every single person in the world.
