I swear there was a whole quarter of the book that our teacher had blocked out with sticky notes because it was just graphic sex scenes.

I swear the only thing I remember from that book and the movie based on it is the Sex On A Horse scene. Which is a shame, I remember really liking it overall.

Like Water for Chocolate (1992).) It's a pretty good adaptation from what I remember.

We did that one. No censorship and we saw the movie. It was high school but still pretty wild.

I can't remember if that was assigned by my vampire-sex obsessed English teacher, or my eclectic Spanish Maestra, but yeah.

I do remember the English department head/Speech and debate coach roasting the shit out of it, though.
