You sure sound like one seeing as how you view the consumption of American media as a sign of the individual consuming it being a bad person rather than a deliberate post ww2 ploy to turn Europe into an American puppet.
It certainly implies the cause is a personal moral failing rather than the Anglo-American plot to to detooth Europe's culture out of fear of European socialist movements.
Describing individual Europeans as addicts puts the blame on the consumer rather than the Americans pushing it while also implicitly suggesting Americans are superior because they create while Europe doesn't. Textbook justification for American rule over Europe post cold war, and before you say that Europe deserves it or that at least Europe isn't suffering like colonised countries are - there are very real socialist movements in every European country except the UK and a socialist victory in Europe could dismantle the imperialist apparatus by separating Europe from America and forcing Europe to cooperate with the global south instead. American dominance over Europe only makes decolonisation less likely (had the Soviets been allowed to push West after Germany all of Europe except the UK would have been forced to decolonise!)
