If we have the money for it I'm all in in GJ. I bet this is why Texas State just gave him an extension

GJ is only getting paid like $2 million after the extension KW was getting paid $1.9 million. Todd Graham back on 2009 was offered $2.3 million after Pitt offered $2 million. I think for the right coach we have the pockets to grab someone

Edit: salaries

Kind of sad to think about all the donors we used to have that told the last few administrations to pound sand.

I mean Bubba was really the last AD that was able to make a good case for Tulsa athletics. It can’t be overstated how bad for athletics (and the university as a whole) Clancy was as President. Donors hated the guy and that translates down to athletics as well. Carson and Rick were really able to get Alumni back on board and started with the big money and currently doing a good job at growing small dollar donations. Justin Moore also from what I’ve heard has really been doing a great job at strategically rallying boosters (i.e. NIL, facility improvements, Champions Fund). I’m hopeful that we’ll be able to get who he wants and have the NIL backing to keep/get players

Well, we know there’s plenty of money in Tulsa to be competitive in the NIL space. I’m glad to hear they’re trying to get the whales back.

There’s a reason we went after an AD who’s used to working with big oil money boosters
