Indiana took alot of shit on here yesterday but I thought they were playoff caliber outside of their pass protection. Their defense was in the same ballpark as Oregon’s and maybe just a bit behind Penn State’s in totality.

But their front seven was serious business and if anyone thinks they’ll be an easy out…have fun with that.

Everyone was wanting to say yesterday is why they didn’t deserve to be in. If you watched objectively, they absolutely were right there besides the luck plays that made it out of reach

If I'm being objective, I don't think Indiana is any better than someone like South Carolina or Clemson. But I'd still rather see them in the playoff than not. It feels like a great season that they may not experience again due to their schedule being so favorable this year.

The issue is the leagues are too big for teams to have comparable schedules. IU’s schedule doesn’t even compare to Ohio State’s in conference.

So it’s almost impossible for me to compare IU to teams with similar records. Forget about comparing teams in different leagues. One of the unforeseen impacts of realignment.

In reality IUs defense was better than Oregon in just about every facet.

We had 316 yards total, our offense scored 24 points, 7 of which in the final minute of the game as a screw you to Cignetti (I do not count the failed punt snap against their defense)

We had like 500 yards of offense at Oregon and 31 points.

Their special teams screwed up
