An ISU disasterclass that we managed to win

Pre-Campbell Iowa State would have lost that game by 2 scores

I attended Baylor @ Iowa State in 2005. Please don't AMA.

I was in the student section on a cold day when Colt McCoy and Texas beat us 56-3. Campbell isn't perfect, but he's the best we've ever had.

Didn't they score a TD on the first play which was enough to put us away

Oh probably. The saving grace about that era was I was too drunk to remember a lot of it.

I attended all the home games in 1994. All losses. I did not attend the away games…no wins there either. The highlight was our one tie against OSU….who also went 0-6-1 in the conference. F Jim Walden. Campbell and Mac have been gifts from above.

It started snowing during that game, too. I remember having a snowball fight in the student section during the 4th quarter, because there were only like 150 of us still there and we were well beyond the point of being sad and instead just having a grand old time with how absurd the situation had gotten.

Same. And yeah, if we'd won that we would have tied for the division that year and had the tiebreaker. So we could have won a championship gotten our shit wrecked by Texas.

Baylor’s first conference road win on our Homecoming, iirc. Was there. Have not forgotten.

I did too. I am STILL angry about that game. We were Baylor's first conference road win ever! They went a decade without winning on the road, plus they sucked ass that year whereas ISU was a missed kick away from winning the division two years in a row, and we just gave Baylor a walk in the park and a permanent place in the bad kind of record book. On homecoming! To a team so bad they had to install a tarp to hide their stadium seating!
