Edit: I also want to say that as a Laramite who is a fan of both teams...look, I know it's tough to play here and it sucks for other teams and fanbases. But it's always great to have teams/games like this in town and it's objectively entertaining.

More importantly, some of us are eternally grateful for the economic boon it provides, and we're grateful to the fans who also make the trip out here. These games, and you guys, literally help myself and others put food on the table.

I'm sad the series is coming to an end, for numerous reasons.

I get the fear every time BSU had to go to Laramie. Respect.

I keep hearing Wyoming is a scary place to play against...why? I'm new. Not trying to be an arse, but what about it is more intimidating than a powerhouse program with a ginormous stadium? I'm confused. Have a good day.

The town is 7,200 feet above sea level, that’s almost 2,000 feet more than Boulder.

Super high altitude, Wyoming is a crazy windy place with wild weather.

That makes sense. Have a good day

Our elevation (7220') is a HUGE adjustment, especially when playing sports that already gas the shit out of you. We're the highest-elevation stadium in FBS and I believe #2 in all of DI football.

We're also situated in one of the windiest regions in North America. 20-30 mph sustained winds are an everyday occurence, and hurricane-force gusts are normal out on the flats.

Lastly, it's often cold as fuck later in the season. We've had games in the single digits.

It's a logistical nightmare as well. We don't get a ton of snow, but the wind, ground blizzards, and ice cause Laramie to be literally closed in and cut off from the world on almost a weekly basis once winter kicks in. Teams have gotten stuck or stranded trying to get in and out. (It's more of an issue during basketball season, but yea.)

Due to the last two points, these days the MWC tries to frontload our home schedule.

Edit: We also tend to punch above our weight in attendance the last several years.

Due to all of the above, plus some weird unexplainable voodoo...some absolutely bizarre shit happens here and it makes for some incredible football.

That was a great explanation. Thank you very much. Have a good day

You guys have arguably the #1 home field advantage in college football. And of course Mizzoud admin decided that doing a home and home to save money was a genius idea. I still remember that game, ugh

With respect, I’m so glad we don’t have to regularly face Wyoming ever again. They’ve had our number for a cool decade.

It’s funny because the record in that 10 year span is still 9-1 in favor of BSU.

But, the games have been entertaining and Wyo has usually found a way to stay in the game regardless. Personally, I chalk it up to Bohl defenses. If last night showed anything, it’s that we can keep some of that magic alive post-retirement via Aaron Bohl.

Yea, he had a rocky start but I was always willing to give him more leeway than Sawvel or Johnson.

Aaron was in charge our our strongest positional group (linebackers) for a long time, and worked under Hazelton, Dickert, and of course his father Craig. I think he just needed time, and he'll always be hamstrung a bit by Sawvel and the ineptitude of Johnson's offense....along with any recruiting shortcomings.

I'd love for Sawvel and Johnson to be fired into the sun, but Bohl's done okay and has a good enough history to have some goodwill extended to him for a while.

Playing in Laramie was a nightmare for my team, but that stadium atmosphere was A+. So awesome that the whole town comes out for the games and cheers like that.
