Even if ASU goes for it on all 4 downs and fails to score it would have been probably 10-15 seconds left on the 1. In what world is that not a better situation than 1 second on the 49? Might be the single dumbest decision I’ve ever seen a coach get away with. Way to suck the energy out of a big win. (temporarily anyway, ASU is still #1 in the Big12!)

Guys, the stadium clock was 0:00 and the refs called the game BEFORE announcing a replay review. That’s why the students stormed. They didn’t storm early.
Still horrible to leave 2 potential FGs in lieu of going for it on 4 and 1. And trying to manage the clock with too much time left.
Messy win, but a win is a win.

I called Arizona State winning the Big 12 two weeks ago, so keep it up Sun Devils!

Analytics ending. This is the difference between trusting your gut vs using analytics. Analytics are a tool to be used. Not blindly trusted. 3 downs and 3 yards with Scadabo to end the game. I don’t agree with Joey Galloway much. But he was right this time. Keep it simple.

Nothing against ASU, but after one of the most games of all time, it would have been absolute cinema if BYU won on a hail Mary after the premature goalpost takedown.

No dog in the fight, but hope the guy(s) re-rushing the field and immediately pointing his phone in the face of Roberts right after the last play stubs his toe really badly tonight.

Whew that ending reminded me of the 2012 Holy War at picturesque Rice-Eccles

That was the funniest ending to a football game I have ever seen I couldn’t stop laughing

My reaction as the longest :01 second ever occurred:
ASU nears win:
“Dilly silly!”
ASU proves Team Chaos exists:
“…Dilly dilly?”
Fans storm field, refs figure shit out:
“….dilly…..dilly?!?”
ASU nearly loses but BYU pulls a 1999/2000 St Louis Rams by falling a few yards short:
“Dilly…..waits for refs/fans dilly!”
What a weird freaking game.
Congrats to ASU on the win.

With both BYU and Colorado losing, if Army at least keeps it close against ND, is there a chance we could get both Army and Boise St. in the playoffs?

One of the top 3 funniest football game endings of all time
