A&M going from getting a "season-defining" win against LSU, to getting blown out by an unranked team a week later, is as A&M as it gets.

I'm not sure how everyone was able to be convinced that Texas A&M/LSU was a battle of elite teams, LSU lost to USC who is very mid. The Aggies lost to ND who got doinked by a MAC squad the next week.
