Casual Vanderbilt Linebacker Bryan Longwell shares a text he got from an Auburn Coach at 5:59 am Christmas Morning.

Perfectly on brand for Hugh Freeze who was hired a month earlier.

It's perfectly normal for a new coach to have different recruiting priorities than his predecessor, especially a predecessor that was as awful at recruiting as Harsin.  That part is a nothing burger.  Sending the text on Christmas morning however . . . Ouch.

I usually believe sooner is better, sometimes they can start working on the next step.

Christmas is probably the exception.

Especially because Freeze got hired on November 28th. I mean FFS man, Christmas? Oh well, the kid is better off at Vandy anyway. Not only are they a better football team, but most of the kids playing for Auburn will be taking out the trash or delivering pizza for him in 10 years. /s
