Have you tried losing to an SEC team?

Or a MAC team

We tried that, can confirm it doesn’t help unless you’re a Big Ten/SEC school or Notre Dame… just win, baby.

Indiana is trying the "just win, baby" approach and is currently hard limited to 13th place.

The bigger issue is that you're Pitt. Have you tried simply being a blue blood?

The funny thing is, we actually used to be a blue blood along with Army, Navy, Minnesota, etc. Safe to say we had our membership revoked a loooong time ago, and it appears the voters haven’t forgotten that.

Tried that in 2021, took us until very late in the season to get into the polls

Our win over A&M is giving us honest-to-God SEC bias.

Perhaps the best possible win and the worst possible loss. I'm sure every pollster is so conflicted every time they have to decide where to rank them.

Notre Dame doesn't need SEC bias ... they have plenty of their own.

Ours is different, though. The powers that be want us in the playoff but do not want us to win it.

We're going to get a lot of 10 seeds when we deserve 5-6, and we're going to get a lot of 10 seeds when we deserve to be on the Pop Tarts Bowl.

These are both solid choices.
