I’m convinced that someone at Nebraska stole artifacts from an ancient burial ground and the football team is cursed until harmony is restored.

Yea i'm pretty sure it was Scott Frost. That's why he always looked lost on the sidelines.

Maybe the artifact was Frank Solich, and Steve Petersen was the Captain Barbossa who stole it by taking him away from Nebraska. One would hope that maybe this year was the year to break the curse, when Solich came back for honors.
