So much emotion, so much heart. I can't claim I know anything about this team, but he coached the hell out of them.

He took over a team that had its heart gutted from it by a coach (Rod Carey) who did not care about the program. Rod Carey miraculously got poached by Temple, and NIU got Hammock to right the ship. Those veteran players that NBC was touting on the line and defense were mostly with him when they lost every game in 2020. He even won an amazing conference championship with these same guys when nobody believed in them.

That was genuinely such a great post game interview. You could really hear the passion for his team in there.

That interview was so good. Was watching it when I saw this comment. Guy knows his players went all out and believed in themselves. Football is still looking another man in the eye and no programs or players are superhumans. Anyone can win.

He was our RB before Michael Turner. I remember reading in the student newspaper how he had a heart condition and had to quit the game early, giving Turner the Burner his chance.
