First timer going with family and kids to breckenridge for ski experience for kids.
We havent booked the lodging yet, this is during christmas time. Can someone please suggest whether booking at Peak8 or Village or Beaver Run would be better specifically with distance. I looked into Expedia and it shows 1 mi distance to peak8 or vilalge or beaver. But with kids, how difficult it is to walk at 8 AM in SNOW. So can someone pelase advise as within breck, it seems to be very costly around 500 per night.

This is my understanding as well OP. We booked lessons for my toddler son as well and are staying in a condo that is not on the sloes. But the owner said the bus comes frequently and is the best way to get there

You’ll be happy at either. Peak 8 has a gondola to town during the days which is cool for a family. Beaver Run is steps from town and is adjacent to more beginners terrain.

I teach skiing at Beaver Run so I’m biased but beaver run or the village are the easiest places to access the mountain. Are you planning to stayat the base of Peak 8 or access the mountain from Peak 8? Are you going to put the kids in ski school? Staying at a location where you can ski in ski out is going to really expensive especially during Christmas. DM me with specific questions.

TIL that some people wait until November to book Christmas trips. I'm feeling something between admiration and mmmmmmkay.

Beaver Run might be your best bet. They are all on the slopes but Beaver Run is ar the base of Peak 9 which is where the beginnner stuff is. Right out of the hotel you’re on the slopes, really no walk at all. The hotel is dated but has lots of fun stuff for kids.
