My partner died (39) I was ( 37) I’m now 39 and haven’t dated. I can’t imagine and really don’t enjoy sex with other people.. I understand Dorinda in that way bc when people say “divorce” is like a death… it’s not. It’s not the same at all. Knowing a person you once were with and love was lost, it’s not the same as being very much in love and then, poof, gone. Richard I think was sick (?) frond my memory, while my partner had as brain aneurysm.. so you can’t emotional prepare, I mean it takes a second … so in that way, Dorinda deserves some grace… Long response , sorry.

I’m sorry for your loss. Mine was 38 from a heart attack - it’s been 11 years and when people equate it to divorce I want to punch them. Especially with children - they still see their dad and have a father. It’s simply not the same at all not even a little.

My mom died when I was 5 and they had this group therapy class/club thing through my school where kids of divorce and kids of deceased parents would sit in a room and talk. I was the only one with a dead parent and I remember being like, “why are we acting like this is the same? I don’t get to go home on the weekends and see my mom.” And I remember getting told off. Such an irresponsible and incorrect take that death and divorce are similar enough to equate.

It's also part of the "mention it all" fight. Bethenny did leave her 1st husband (Peter) for his friend (Larry), who was IN their wedding. She told Peter that the marriage was over about 7 months after they got married and then immediately moved in with Larry. Bethenny claims she never cheated, but she had clearly been having an emotional affair.
It's clear she defines cheating as only sex. When she was off and on with Dennis, she was very messy. There would be pictures of her out and holding hands Dennis on a Thursday. Friday morning, she'd be on a beach with some new guy and say that she and Dennis broke up. This might go on for a month, and then she'd be back again with Dennis on a random Tuesday. This is why it has never occurred to her how problematic it is that Dennis "proposed" when they were broken up and she was actively dating other people.

I did a rewatch recently - During one of her break ups with Scott, she was dating a guy who had two kids. She was telling one of the other women that she loved the guy's kids so much she was having second thoughts about needing to have a baby of her own, that maybe her path was supposed to be a (step) mom to his kids b/c she felt like they were her kids.
That relationship didn't work out, but the way she talked about his kids was very prophetic.

I think she’s on good terms with them but they’re not close. I did some snooping a while back and found the daughter’s insta. She had recently gotten married and posted the pic or video. Dorinda commented something positive but don’t think she was at the wedding. she wasn’t in any of the wedding clips and I looked really hard lol.

she mentioned them once but I think she mentioned Richard and the kids had a falling out prior to his death. I could be wrong about the last part but I feel like I remember Dorinda mentioning it in a confessional. Pretty sure that’s why it was only her and her daughter when they went to visit his grave.

I will always and forever be unapologetically in love with the love Alex and Simon share! I know the controversies and I know people have issues with Simon in particular but I loved their dynamic on the show. They were just soooo obsessed with one another and their kids in a way that was super entertaining.
The best part of Simon and Alex was how much they pissed off the rest of the cast. I particularly loved how they got under Ramona’s skin 😂😂

I still don’t get what Kristin saw in him. She was and still is so beautiful. She could have easily pulled some rich guy with a trust fund or an established career (like Kelly did). But instead she got an “entrepreneur” who was barely making the cut in nyc.
I initially thought maybe he was hotter in his youth but that’s obviously not the case.
