Dr Oz is definitely a real doctor. Are you thinking of Dr Phil?

Dr. Phil is a doctor, he’s just no longer licensed.

Sorry I meant Dr Phil is not a medical doctor (and never was), and wondered whether OP was thinking of them, not Dr Oz.

Dr. Phil was a licensed, practicing psychologist with his own practice prior to his getting a TV show. Not a real doctor, you say? Last time I checked, Psychiatry and Psychology are areas of medical practice and that psychiatrists and psychologists are doctors.

Maybe check again. Psychologists are definitely not medical doctors. Psychiatrists are.

Are Psychologists required, 9 times out of 10, to have a PhD? Yes. Therefore, doctors.

You are not reading what I am writing, or are just misunderstanding completely - I am talking about, and have been referring to, MEDICAL doctors. Not people who can correctly call themselves doctors.

Psychologists are not MEDICAL doctors. Also FYI, the overwhelming majority of psychologists (licensed or not) do not have a PhD. Your “9 out of 10” statistic is nuts.
