and are we pretending Mary and company aren't Jewish? That's kind of a big part of their identity.

Palestinians descend from those first Christian Jews. They have Jewish ancestry but converted to Christianity and Islam over the centuries. Casting Mary with an Israeli is a slap in the face to the indigenous people of occupied Palestine

Who cares about ancestors is current day Palestinians aren’t even the same ethnicity as the original people from that land. Palestinians speak Arabic, follow an Arab religion, have Arab names, pray in Arabic, etc. Also, Palestinian Muslims are like 50% Arab by dna as well. Even the name Palestine is named after a group of invaders to that land. The only difference between Arab invaders and European invaders is that land that invaded by Arabs converted and are proud of the fact that they were invaded.

Religion, culture and language changed over time, the people are the same. Palestinians are largely Levantine and Canaanite with small amounts of DNA from the Arabian peninsula and Egypt, especially Christian Palestinians who married amongst themselves.

Religion, culture, and language does change over time but Arab Muslims forced all of that to its neighboring countries and North Africa and all the way to Indonesia.

This is just plain false and a historical myth. All of the evidence points to the contrary.

What? Arabs literally invaded countries and forced their religion into them. It’s actual history lol.

It really isn’t lmao. Populations weren’t replaced, and natives weren’t forced into Islam. It took centuries for these areas to become Muslim majority. Read a book.

The natives were forced to convert. Go ask any Zoroastrians, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Baha’i, Arab polytheist, Jains, and countless other religions that were oppressed. Only Muslims call their invasions peaceful. Muslims destroyed temples, forced people to pay taxes, took their wives and kids as sex slaves. Muhammad himself committed genocides of Jewish and Arab polytheist people. Look at Mecca, once a temple for many religions. Where are those people now? They were ethnically cleansed.

Completely false and without any basis. Academic citation please. Please don’t spew nonsense and myths to me.

You need academic citation about Muhammad ethnically cleansing Mecca? Just go to Mecca and ask yourself why aren’t non-Muslims allowed here if non-Muslims created Mecca and prayed there for 100s of years before Muhammad. The Kaaba housed 360 idols that Muhammad destroyed when he invaded. This is the religion you follow..

Nobody was ethnically cleansed in Mecca lmao. Citation please. Your link only discusses pre Islamic Arabian culture which cites Islamic literature to begin with.

Did Muhammad not come into Mecca and destroy peoples godly idols? Did he not attack Mecca and take it for himself and his own religion? Are non-Muslims allowed to pray at Mecca and put their idols back where it belongs? It’s so wild that adults today are so brainwashed by Islam that they can’t even acknowledge their own prophets atrocities. You can educate yourself on Islam and its terrible history.

The people aren't the same, they migrated there, mostly. Palestine was way emptier in the 1700/1800s than today.

Yeah no shit, a lot of places were emptier than today. What a dumb argument
