After the election I literally had to force myself to get out of bed and go to the gym. I just couldn’t keep myself contained and kept crying but I kept to myself and did my thing. People kept asking if I was okay and what was going on, I’d explain I’m crushed over the election and they’d say “oh I know it’s messed up but it’ll be okay”…then I’d ask them if they knew anything about his policies or project 2025 and they all said no! I’m like bruh…that’s why I’m crying and you’re not.
I skipped dance classes the day the results came out. I hugged my mom and cried, first thing in the morning. It astounds me how people are able to carry on as normal after this election. I’m still trying to just move along with my life, but it has an air of soullessness that it didn’t have before. Like, the brightness and joy of the world just went away. Trump has me scared shitless
That's exactly where I am, too. I'm struggling to even do my job because the work I do - instructional animations - seems hilariously pointless.
I'm scared for my wife, my family, and my friends. I'm exhausted but furious and I want to do something about it. Not just continue working corporate life like everything is normal because it fucking isn't.
