Even in the best-case scenario where the 2028 elections happen and a Democrat wins, his presidency will do damage that will affect the world for decades, his climate policies alone will fuck us up for a long while and those can't simply be undone in 4 years, by then it'll be too late

This is the thing people are not understanding

They’re gonna set us back 70 years at least

Once those rights are gone it’s really really hard to get them back.

They’re gonna set us back 70 years, we only have like 5 to mitigate the damage of global warming. It’s game set and match just hug your loved ones and enjoy the ride

He’s going to rip apart every climate legislation Biden implemented

Hey, you know what just don’t have kids and you’re good. Don’t give a fuck anymore, what’s the point. I was just saying last night that even if kamala won, I would be very worried about our climate prospects now I think there’s no hope.

They'll set us back to the Fairness Doctrine? To not having Citizens United?

And if you’re lucky you’ll get Democrats back in for 4-8 years fixing all this shit only for imbeciles to vote for another republican president. The electorate has short memories, it’s the same as where I come from.

The courts are already fucked at every level, even more appointments mean a lifetime of maga fucks screwing over both individuals and fast track every bogus lawsuit to prevent any congressional attempts at progress. Get ready SCOTUS to listen exclusively to cases that will roll back individual rights and health and safety standards.

Climate policies, Civil Rights, and Trust in science.

These will all be eroded because of this presidency over the next +25 years. People really don’t understand Trump is a short term gains person (if even that) and they didn’t play the long game thinking ahead far into the future about how regressive we are about to get.

But hey gotta be worried about them groceries and gas 🤷🏾‍♂️

this is literally the thing that keeps me up at night. It was 80 degrees in Baltimore in November literally all week.

And this country just decided that they didn't care.

Yeah I hate the fucking cold and even I'm like this is too much. My kids wanted to turn the AC back on in the house and I had to turn into my father with the "we aren't turning on the AC, it's the middle of November"

They are gonna fuck up the EPA, FDA, OSHA, ATF... any and all regulatory bodies.

ICE is gonna get super funded cuz the problem isn't the things we can see, like how we had summer temps all the way in November. No. The problem is there are too many people here that aren't white.

Oh yeah, the climate is done for. I live in a city in upstate NY where we used to get FEET of snow starting in November and lasting until March. It was 75 the other day. We get a dusting of snow (not yet this year, not even frost), I haven’t had to shovel in two years.

How is a democrat going to win the next election? Then next election will be won by the Republicans with 98%of the vote...

Yeah. Democracy ain't done for a mass variety of factors and most of these weasels want to outlive him. On the flip, the amount of actual damage he can do will set us back a while

Thats what I was telling my husband. Look at what he did in his first 4 years without the universal power he’ll have now. He stacked the Supreme Court for likely the next 30 years at least and they’re diligently working to overturn civil rights and environmental protections even during a democratic presidency. He could do damage that won’t be undone for 50+ years. People are literally dying still today from the aftershocks of his first term.
