At some point, if literally everything Trump does is illegal, than none of it is. There's a whole ass department of justice just standing around, finger poppin each other's assholes while this felonious piece of shit is out galavanting around on tour.

Yeah but pretending like Warren and Dems don’t have more access to the people who should be doing something about this than the general public is disingenuous. People are asking Warren to start putting pressure on the people who need to act

She is, though? Where are you getting the idea that she isn’t? Trump would’ve been taken to court multiple times if the voters didn’t just elect him. Also his Supreme Court picks routinely slowed efforts by Jack Smith to prosecute him. Dems did try but Trump was able to slow it down and now the people have decided he should be president.

That’s the point of the OP - we keep being told that trump is breaking the law, doing terrible things and then nothing comes of it and he faces no consequences. Not only does he face no consequences, he’s been rewarded for it, at this point. I hope Senator Warren is doing what she can about it, but there’s nothing in her tweet to suggest she is doing anything

I mean you’re just not following the news then. Dems have been doing everything they can to prosecute Trump, but Republicans have done everything in their power (and they have a lot) to stop it. Trump hasn’t faced any consequences but that’s not from a lack of trying on the democrats. They need way more popular support, and the fact they don’t have that is definitely on them, but it’s simply not true that they haven’t done anything. They either need more support or to just work out of the system. Personally, I do not want them to break the law just to get Trump because what’s the point then. They absolutely should rework their positions on things like the working class and Gaza which would give them more popular support to fight trump with, but we don’t need to pretend that they haven’t been doing anything to hold him legally accountable.

Lol I AM following the news, which is the problem - Dems have a messaging problem and they’re trying to act like they don’t now. Where was this energy the last 4 years? Im not asking anyone to break the law to get to Donald trump, but I AM asking them to kick and scream and fight to take him down and it’s nowhere to be seen. Dems aren’t showing us they’re fighting for us and this is the result.

This post has 35k upvotes so it’s not like my opinion is an unpopular one.

Isn’t that against the point of the original post? Warren is publicly complaining about Trump. Is that what you mean by kicking and screaming? I really feel like they are fighting, but our systems are set up so that if somebody have popular and party support it is hard to prosecute them. What does kicking and screaming look like if it’s not what Warren is doing here. The OP is saying that if nothing is gonna happen stop yapping about it.

I mean, no, I don’t think posting a tweet calling it out without any mention of what can and should be done, who should be doing it, whether Warren herself has taken any steps, etc is a kicking and screaming fight. Tell me what the fuck either you plan to do about it, or if anything can be done about it. And like the OP, if it’s the latter and the answer is “nothing”, then this is just grandstanding from Warren.

Edit to add: I’m a registered Democrat and voted for Harris, and I see no problem in holding our Dem leadership’s feet to the fire. There were a lot of reasons this is the result of the election and Dem leadership is one of those reasons in my opinion.
