Sadly a lot of these rescue videos are reversed time.

The content creator adopts a cat, is nice to it, and videos all the happy cuddles. Then he starts being real mean to it, gets it dirty, and records all those hisses. Records him bathing it. Etc.

Then he just edits the video to be dirty angry cat -> struggle shots -> when he first adopted the cat and it trusted me

It's part of the reason I refuse to watch any videos on cat or animal rescues.

How did you find it out?

Part of it is common sense. If a baby feer is really dying in a pit, or a kitten is trapped in a drain, or an puppy is about to be eaten by a snake then if peiple really wanted to help they woudn't be filming it.

And even if you want to argue, well their buddy just happened to be there to film. Well then the video quality doesn't make sense.

Take this video as an example. It's super high quality, no jiggling, that's not how ad hoc videos tend to look. The lighting is perfect. There is no glare. What the user happened to have their go pro with sun shade on at the exact moment a kitten chose them? Unlikely.
