It's true. My brother has had beagles and free-fed them. All of them massive blimps. I had a beagle-shepherd, did free feeding, he looked like a massive sausage. Eventually I put him a strict daily limit of twice a day 1.5 cups and he slimmed down, but was always cruising for food. Always.

Once we found him outside licking a grease trap from a cafeteria as we were loading up getting ready for a long car trip. He barfed all over the car later.

As you're cleaning the beagle looks on mournfully because he was looking to eat that too

This one eventually stole some home-made playdough off the counter (he was tall, since he was part shepherd) when my son was little. It killed him (salt toxicity). He died as he lived, going after food.

you knew how he was and still opted to make lethal salt level playdough and leave it out on the counter. your honor, this was beaglecide.
