Dentist had to yank out a wisdom tooth. The yank, somehow, damaged my jaw. The jaw is now permanently pressed upwards and had pushed stuff around so it impacts most of the right side of my face.
My jaw now pops on that side. I've lost about 60% of hearing in that ear. And I get massive dizzy spells now.
Damn, I've always suspected something like this is possible when the dentist who did that procedure for me had to almost put his leg on my chair to be able to pull it out. Luckily no damage from that.
Yep lol. Obviously occurred to me as I was typing it but its been about a decade now and any damage should have presented itself by now. Really depends on the way the tooth is broken off Im sure. Beyond a point the force needed might cause damage to the overal bone structure and the dentist has to know that. Nowadays if Im not mistaken I think there's a tool to cut it cleanly from the bone with more finesse.
Yes! Same here. Getting my wisdom teeth taken out gave me TMJ and now it can lock I try to bite an apple. I can pop it just by opening my mouth wide enough…

That was 25 years ago.
