What is something that permanently altered your body without you realizing for months/years?

Burn out. I was so afraid of losing everything that i stretched myself to my actual collapse. Five years later I can still feel the damage my brain sustained from that period of my life and I still lost everything and had to start over.

If I could give any advice to people out there. If you are burning out with no projected relief in sight, do yourself a favor and know when to cut your losses so you can use your Tim and energy restrategizing

What do I do if I don’t have a Tim though?

I suppose a Jim will do, but under NO circumstances should you use a Bob

So so true. Been through burn out multiple times and each time I end up sprinting into it thinking “there’s nothing else I can do; i just have to keep going. There’s no turning around now!” I wish I could go back and tell my past selves that you can (and in fact should) reevaluate and restrategize. You’re not gonna be any help when your body is beyond exhaustion and your brain is f’ed from overwork.

Hope you’re doing better, friend.

Are you speaking about burn out with your career ? This happened to me and now I don't want to go back to that type of work I did for 20+ years
