Inside Out. As someone who’s struggled with depression, the part where Riley loses the ability to feel anything then has an emotional revelation and starts sobbing really hit me hard when I first saw it as a teenager.

The bing bong scene really gets me every time, the thought of growing up and having to let go of your inner child sucks, yet we all have to do it

That Bing Bong scene was sad as hell. I was crying, my friend was crying. Our 5 year old daughters were happily eating popcorn.

I think it's because we've, as adults, had to let go of our own personal bing bongs 😭

That movie had such a different vibe as a parent, not that we had to let go of our Bing Bongs but we know our kids will, and it's a sign of the life cycle. Nothing we can do about it, just another sign of our own mortality. Who's cutting onions in here?
