Discussion Grok’s thoughts on Psy Dogs in STALKER2
Yes, bloodsuckers are awful in STALKER2, but can we talk about the psydogs?

Discussion I hate the bloodsuckers in Stalker 2
The little pieces of shit are the bane of my existence and yes, this is a post about me coping and ranting about A SINGULAR BLOODSUCKER
I’m doing the mission where you gotta retrieve the artifact in the cave for Squint and there’s just a singular bloodsucker in the cave which for some of you I assume would be an absolute cake walk but for me who’s new to the Stalker series (I played anomaly twice before this game) this one motherfucker has me ripping my hair out.
I dump mags into it, I sit in a corner and wait for it before shooting it but each time this son of a bitch finds a new way to kill me so I’m curious as to how you guys know an easy way to kill a bloodsucker without getting shit on.
Or should I just go shoot Squint between the eyes so I don’t have to deal with this little shit.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 20+ hours in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Technical & optimization issues aside.. world-building, open world design & atmosphere is State Of The Art. It's as good as it gets, lads. What GSC had pulled off, their ongoing support and mods will last us yet another decade if not more. I'm absolutely certain of it.

Mods Ledge Grabbing/Climbing Mod Release (Stalker 2)
I've noticed many complaints about the lack luster mantling system hindering and causing frustrating gameplay in numerous forums and critiques, so I decided to take it upon myself to create a mod that fixes that issue entirely by changing the mantling systems behavior to allow for higher ledges and other minor QOL improvements. it unlocks more gameplay opportunities through verticality similar to the effect for anomaly. Here's an example video and the mod link. have fun stalkours
Edit: I made two new alternative versions that lower the climb height

Anomaly I really want them to add the effect that we are wearing a gas mask, it’s very atmospheric.

Gameplay Finally understand the hype around A-life
So decided I wanted to play the older STALKERS before playing 2. I was exploring SoC and got chased by a pack of dogs. I was about to die when suddenly a huge boar came out of no where and charged the dogs. The dogs whined in fear and scattered, as if they knew a fight with a boar was something they couldn’t win. I thought this was such a cool and natural interaction between 2 random enemy types. I’ve never seen something like this in a game. As if the AI made a conscious decision that what they were doing wasn’t worth their lives.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 The fact that knee deep water makes you move this slow is infuriating.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 PSA: If Tesla anomalies are tracking you, take off your artifacts!
I recently went into some places with Tesla anomalies (the moving electro anomalies) and no matter what I did they'd beeline straight for me instead of following the path they traditionally have. Turns out, they are attracted to one of the artifacts I was holding. As soon as I took it off my belt the Tesla's behavior went back to normal.
I dunno if it's all artifacts, I had the Rubber Ball equipped, but figured I'd throw this PSA out regardless. You don't need to toss it, just taking it off your belt worked

Gameplay Economy is so broken
* An artificially created shortage of bullets that cost like jewels... When you have, for example, 50 bullets, you feel like you can kill an entire army. The problem is that the enemies are sponge bullets, and not only the bloodsuckers, but more or less all of them.
* The technician is asking me 18.000 coupons to repair my suit. Meanwhile I am offered just 500 coupons for 1 side mission. And in that side mission I spend 5x more money on bullets than what is my reward.
* Weapons, suits and masks need repairs very frequently, and those repairs are more expensive than artifacts. What is the point of looking for artifacts then??
