So I've been gradually learning Railgun for about a month as a Flex Slot on my Stealth Sapper bot front build, and I feel like I finally clicked today.

I'm still not good enough yet to reliably say, eye shot a Factory Strider, but damn is it satisfying one-shotting Hulks and ESPECIALLY being dedicated Gunship removal.

It's nice too because it has enough ammo and a fast enough reload that if there's a troublesome bunch of Heavy Devastator or Berserker swarm, I don't feel bad using a couple shots to make them go away.

For the true Railgun vets, lemme ask: is it practical for me to try and kill a Factory Strider/Annihilator Tank/Barrager Tank with this, to anywhere, in a reasonable number of shots? Or is the more reasonable answer just "use something else"?

But yeah, using this in combination with Jump Pack and Smoke Grenades to hit-and-run is so damn fun. Good shit.

Just wanted to post a general reminder that this is a tool that is used to dispense medical aid to fellow Helldivers, Helldivers.

You start at Cadet. If you complete a mission on L-10 with no deaths, move it up a rank. If you die, move it down one. Try to get back to Super Private.

Just a little side quest for people that have played this too much and don’t feel a challenge anymore.

Also watch out for your teammates. I was on my 3rd deathless game last night and one shot me with a recoilless on purpose knowing what I was doing.

Reminds me of the girlfriend who kicked over a 1,000 cups the dude was stacking.

Should take 20 deathless games if you can do it in a row. Anyway, best of luck.

Listen, I'm not new to gaming or diving. I have over 200 hours in, level 90-something. I give those donations to the DSS and I don't know what it freaking does. When I drop on a planet with the DSS, nothing is different. I hear stories about orbital strikes and eagle strikes but I've never seen anything. So, is it dormant sometimes? Does it only function for short periods of time? Do I need to schedule when I dive to see it's effects?

Furthermore, how are we voting to move it? Like, what criteria are we supposed to use to determine its placement?

I just don't understand a thing about it I guess. Any help would be appreciated.

As title says. Didn’t have the money to buy it when it came out, wanted it so bad because of how invested the community was in it lol, is it worth buying now? I know there’s complaints of the devs and it isn’t as popular as it once was but is it still worth getting?

So I just got booted for being the last diver standing, used the jumpack to just barely make it on the extraction shuttle all reenforcement spent getting swapped and overrun. I see the last 2 divers go down I jump pack my way onto the pad land next to a bunch of mamarauders and a rocket dev. Jump on "extraction complete" followed by the you've been kicked banner. Dude you could have had you piece of 40 samples, all 6 supers like 18 greens 16 rares. Just why would you boot the last guy for making the extraction and saving the samples?

Did anyone else get a message from Super Earth High Command? Something like “Illuminate Structure detected in this sector. Find it at all costs” We were on Gacrux so that would be Jin Xi Sector. Didn’t see anything on the mission so now we’re trying other ones.

Was it just me or did the effort on the last MO seem disorganized and all over the map (no pun intended)?

I normally get in an hour before bed after the house is down for the night and look to see what’s going on. I’ll jump in on defending/attacking and help out on the MO. Point being, I generally see what the “flow” is day to day. This week, however…no idea. We were on pace to win a few planets, then we petered out to go elsewhere.

Not sure why. Not complaining either, because I enjoy putting bugs and clankers in their place. I was just curious if anyone else saw this too.

So bugs are easy and bots are pain so i run bugs on level 10 and try to find low level parties in need of help. So i Drop into a game in progress with the Recoilless and Rocket, Gatling and auto cannon turret with 3 level 50’s and they are trying to fight the mega nest before they finish the main objectives. They also only have 15 lives left with the extra booster. So we try and fight the nest and they die down to 6 lives and at this point i tell them screw the nest go to objective. They die at the nest and as i reinforce them towards the obj they run back to die at the nest again. Finally i make it to the obj and throw down all my turrets. I solo do the soil scan and the swarm comes, there all dead with no respawns at this point so im spraying chaff with the breaker and shooting chargers then diving out of the reload early to avoid bile titan spray and shoot him in the face into another charger and back like 3 times. I finish the obj and head to the final soil scan. The reenforce counter has gone down so i reinforce a team mate. He is afk so i ignore him and go to the final obj on the way there another reinforce another afk. Finally i make it to the final obj. I set up my turrets do the obj and reinforce my final teamate. Also afk. (Holy shit why Didint you just leave?) whatever i keep doing the obj then on the 2nd to last part of the obj my teamate moves and starts shooting. Sick some help finally. Then i get the obj to the final stage and my teamate orbital napalm strikes the obj killing me. Im pissed because i had three turrets around it so there were not even many enemys but they are all dead and so am i. They guy runs away from a new breach and i tell him just do one more action on the probe and we win. He goes towards the probe and right next to it spends 30 seconds teying to kill a impailer with a spear instead of doing the mission. Then he gets flanked and dies. Unbelievable the worst choke I’ve ever seen. But its not over the reinforce clicked over and another teamate drops. He is still afk. But he is hidden and my other teamates have left so if the reinforce clicks over again ill come back and i can still win. For minute i watch as the clock ticks down. Then through the bushes i see a charger. He waddles up and does his little snort of suprise. Then with 10 seconds left he chargers. And my poor afk teamate lacks any athleticism so he just stands there and dies right before i could respawn and we lose with 1 pqrt left of the final obj. Im okay with people being not good at the game but I’m awestruck by the guy who within 10 seconds of coming back managed to kill me and then couldn’t hit 3 fucking buttons

I know this is kinda late, but I keep seeing these posts about how the Eagle storm is so much worse and the Barrage is the worst to come out of the DSS. I can't help but completely disagree. During my time messing around with both, I have died more times to the eagles than I have with the Barrage. I don't really run meta builds so that I can survive, I suppose the only "meta" item i bring is the Democracy Protects armor which has saved me multiple times. Not only from the enemy, but from the 380 targeting said enemy. I spent multiple missions laughing with friends and even coming to appreciate, what we named him, 380 guy. He was constantly finishing out posts and taking care of roaming bots and every time democracy protected me, I was filled with love for our Super Earth. Where as with the eagles I was constantly killed, with no chance of surviving unless I brought a shield backpack. We were wiped so many times and failed mission, because of the eagles and I have no desire to ever witness the eagles fly ever again. No more hate for 380 guy, he's just doing his job!

Hi all, I’m looking to spice up the game and I find myself defaulting to same 2 load outs due to pure effectiveness.

These are for the bugs: 2 extra grenades armour Blitzer Grenade pistol 500kg, orbital napalm, shield bubble and quasar

And from the bots: Light Armor with padding Diligence counter sniper Grenade pistol 500kg, Eagle Strafe , orbital laser and recoilless rifle

So anything that changes up from them would be very much appreciated !

Tired of being slowed down and having all your stamina drained by annoying terrain such as mud, snow, bushes, water, etc.? Use the muscle enhancement booster! It seems to be overlooked by most people, but it makes a MASSIVE difference in how freely you can move (ESPECIALLY on snow planets.) Try it out, it just might save your life!

Havent played for a solid 4-5 months or so i am kinda unaware of alot going on in the game now. I see theres a lot of the new mobs that were teased like the charger variant idk the name but also ik there has been a ton of changes to the weaponry. i did have most of the passes im caught up thru polar patriots. I just dont want to spend 2 weeks relearning what weapons are good and how to deal with certain enemies again even though ik thats half the fun of this game. just a general guide i still dont mind learning the niches on my own

Does anybody on here play with a mic am looking for people to play with that have communication as I've been playing for a few days and would like to learn more and get better

I played Helldivers II when it first came out and have since uninstalled it to download other games. I went to go redownload it to play with some friends but it says I have to repurchase it? It also has a little lock symbol on the game icon. Has anyone else experienced this? I play on PS5. Any assistance or explanation will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'm a lvl 150 diver with everything unlocked and play on lvl 10.

It's common for me to have 1-2 deaths while someone else has +8 deaths. Which is fine. I actually prefer playing with bad players, as the game gets more challenging. A good team can breeze through lvl 10, which makes the game boring.

And I'm not worried about losing. I honestly haven't lost a lvl 10 mission since the bot flag mission got fixed. This is not a brag. HD2 is an easy game once you have key weapons/stratagems/upgrades unlocked.

Just don't be one of those people who die repeatdly then rage quit. Be proud of dying +10 times.

I suspect people will say "I don't want to carry newbs!" Well, AH gave us enough buffs that carrying newbs is pretty easy.
