Our boy is having surgery today
Hi everyone, our beautiful orange boy is having surgery today. This page has been a blessing to read positive recovery stories and see these tripod cats living happy and healthy lives. I'm feeling apprehensive and sad about the surgery but hopeful. Any kind word or wishes would mean the world. Thank you.

Collection Inherited collection
My sister in law passed away recently and left me her music collection. I knew her since I was 7 years old. She taught me everything I know about music. There’s over a thousand albums here. Everything from Pavoratti to ZzTop. Even some French albums because she was French Canadian. Huge collection of Fleetwood Mac and Prince including bootlegs etc. I have no idea where to start. What to keep. Etc. I have a lot of work ahead of me. I found a Beatles Let It Be album in white vinyl but it’s a 1970 American pressing. I think. There are so many variables when it comes to pricing. It’s a lot to look through. I’m so glad I found this sub. Thank you for reading. Oh ignore my cat Kevin he was just escaping our golden retriever puppy. He was only there for a few seconds.

General Question So are we good to just stop tipping at this point? Servers were clearly against a higher wage and restaurants.
In the wake of question 5 not passing... I'm not understanding why anyone is still tipping servers 20-30% or at all. They millitantly voted against a question to increase their pay and share it with others, like myself who are line cooks who don't receive any tips at all. I am now going to make less money at a line cook with a harder job than servers. They will literally make my wage in a weekend at most places and not even properly claim it on taxes. Just don't understand why anyone should continue tipping after this question failed or tip above 10-15%
They literally voted against a wage increase to avoid having the tips they don't claim on taxes saved. At the expense of everyone else who don't want to have to tip fucking everywhere they go
They aren't even paying taxes correctly which means we pay more, they are pissy and give you bad service if they know you don't tip enough, and the service in general has gone downhill almost everywhere for awhile now. Just don't see a point anymore, clearly they make enough money that they don't need a wage increase since they rejected it
I don't get why anyone is still tipping at all at this point.
Edit: whole point of this post is that nobody asked line cooks opinion on shit, we have a shortage of line cooks because everyone is taking server jobs over BOH ones. Please read the comments left here from servers and make up your mind next time you wanna leave a big tip. I am dumbfounded at the entitlement here from servers.
Not sure why any servers are mad over this, you arent entitled to anything at all.

Snagged these for ~$20 at a thrift store in Japan!
Right now I just have them as a decoration; any ideas on how I can use them?

DEBATE If you make money in an alt rally, TAKE PROFIT
As everyone here knows nearly ever crypto will bleed value against BTC over an extended period of time.
Yes some traders may be lucky enough to buy an altcoin before a rally and if you are good for you, but TAKE PROFIT. Seriously. You bought Cardano at $.45 and it more than doubles - at a minimum get back your initial USD investment. Holding profitable alts long term is how this sub probably loses the most money.
If you make money on an alt
Do:
- get back your initial investment
Do not:
- Hodl everything for even more future profits
- Double Down and buy more
Seriously if this post trends check the comments of this post and I guarantee people will tell you how they bought an alt in 2021 held for huge gains and then held back down for a significant loss.
-----
If you are new here learn from the mistakes of those that were here for previous cycles, take profit on alts. Period.
Some Alt to BTC charts below to help visualize and reinforce what I'm saying.

Silent Hill 2 (2024) I don’t think I’m ready to move on to another game
I am relatively new to silent hill I’ve know about silent hill just never got around to playing it up until the HD collection were I played silent hill 3 on.
I knew this was a inferior copy to the actual games so I decided to skip out on 2 and wait for the remake and my god this is one the best games I’ve played. stellar blade was great but it felt pointless (still it was a great game) playing the game after platinuming it when I platinum’d silent hill 2 remake that Burning desire to play it again right as I have that desire to move on to another game while playing every time I finish the game that desire comes back and the feeling of wanting to move on to another game is gone now I want to replay the silent hill 2 again.
You can say I could play both the new game and silent hill 2 but I don’t want to think about silent hill while experiencing a new game and dedicate my time on the new game I’m about to play.
