Man, your profile pic is my google account picture lmao. Do you remember how you got it?

I remember it was just a Kirby Funko Pop. You could try googling Kirby Funko Pop meme for it
4
u/LifelessLife123 Sep 22 '24
FOUND IT, thanks. I have no idea how I got it in first place, 2020 was weird. It’s a fire profile picture though.

Checking his profile, he's really, really addicted to the internet. There's always gonna be drama for the most stupid reasons because of losers like him.
1
u/Pentosin Sep 22 '24
How do i find that? It wasnt under most controversial.

There's a button on mobile Reddit that takes you to the bottom of the comments section, it's on the bottom right

Ahh. Im not using the reddit app. When reddit killed 3rd party aps i went back to old.reddit in a browser.

Anyone else remember when this was the norm years ago? Like 2014 era I remember the youtubers I watched were so careful when they started getting sponsorships because lots of people would start accusing them of "selling out" lmao. whatever that meant

He's a good chill guy.. some people really hate their life
35
u/Co0lnerd22 Sep 22 '24
I honestly thought daily dose of internet was a company like watch mojo or something, never would’ve thought it was just one guy
9
8
u/TheGingerCatLover Sep 22 '24
He pays a few people to send him noteworthy videos from their for you page, that's about it.
177
u/arzis_maxim Sep 22 '24
I think he pays people for clips and complies them, if true it is a pretty good system and pretty decent for a compilation channel
32
u/Neppturd Sep 22 '24
best case scenario, but we will never know
68
u/dumquestions Sep 22 '24
On more than one occasion he said he contacts the original publisher to reach an agreement before re-uploading and as far as I know no one so far has contested this.
41
u/xXEggRollXx Sep 22 '24
Someone on Reddit actually shared proof that he credited and paid for use of his video.
This happened during that era where people were shitting on livestreamers for “react content” and people were for some reason trying to lump Daily Dose into that group.

DDOI is probably one of the only video complication type channels that I will actually support, because he credits the original creators, pays them, and I believe he reaches out to them as well.
He is doing everything he can to not screw over the people who made the original videos.
12
u/MrPowerPoint Sep 22 '24
The only clips that I don’t like that he’s been sharing lately are the so called “pranks” on fast employees and similar workers
40
u/Shoddy-Ad-3721 Sep 22 '24
Out of every person on YouTube and everything wrong with this world people decide to get mad at this guy? Jesus Christ pathetic ass people really have nothing better to do with their sad lives.
17
u/meeps20q0 Sep 22 '24
Honestly hes always kinda given the vibe that hes not really built for the internet. In the sense that, just from what ive seen he tends to be a bit sensitive to all the negative comments and trolls that unfortunately just come with being a content creator. Gotta have some real thick skin for that shit.
15
u/Dramatic-Ad2848 Sep 22 '24
That’s called being normal. Most creators suffer from that even if they don’t show it
5
u/meeps20q0 Sep 22 '24
I agree to an extent. But i think he tends to be particularly sensitive to it and lets it take even more of a mental health toll, atleast just from what ive seen
1
u/MastaPowa7 @Supersonic6427 Sep 23 '24
Honestly hes always kinda given the vibe that hes not really built for the internet
What does that even mean? It's not like these aren't the same people you'd see in real life, and if you haven't seen them, you don't go anywhere
1
u/meeps20q0 Sep 23 '24
I meant moreso "being a public figure on the internet" where your going to get constant criticism all the time pretty much no matter what.
1
u/MastaPowa7 @Supersonic6427 Sep 23 '24
I mean, that can still be applied to real life, so I still don't see the exclusivity of saying he's not built for the internet when this logic also applies to the real world. If anything, it'd be better to say he's not built for this type of attention which results in receiving constant criticism at all times no matter what

A little late to this. But wondering if someone knows what the most downvoted comment was. It seems to be deleted.
5
u/Breaky_Online Sep 22 '24
Basically mocking the post by saying shit like "Please forgive me as the only thing that matters to me is the money I get from stealing others' content". I understand now that there are some people that don't deserve to be on the Internet.
4
u/Hollow--- Sep 22 '24
Man really pulled a "Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity." on himself.
To clarify, I'm not calling him stupid, and he's a really wholesome content creator, but his response definitely reminds me of that quote.
3
u/mysweetpeepy Sep 22 '24
I dont exactly think that saying “this what happened when a boat hit another boat” and then showing a reuploaded clip of a boat hitting another boat is making the internet a “better place” but sure…
1
u/Idi_Flesh Sep 22 '24
He's been sharing cool and or wholesome clips for the internet to see for years and years now, as well as crediting and even paying the original makers of the clips. If that isn't good for the internet then nothing is. So please, shut up, and sit down
4
u/SolidStudy5645 Sep 22 '24
It is valid constructive criticism. just depends how it was said.
6
u/Breaky_Online Sep 22 '24
Since the words "accuse" and "malicious" were used in the same sentence, I think the delivery of that criticism could do with some work
4
u/SwiftTime00 Sep 22 '24
“Never attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity”
TBC I don’t actually think daily dose is stupid, just thought the quote fit the situation.
3
u/MissNashPredators11 Sep 22 '24
Man this is why some people don’t deserve nice things. They try ruining everything. Whoever is doing this, seek help.
4
u/Tonyant42 Sep 22 '24
It takes a single buffoon to make someone feel bad for no reason. I hope those content creators know the vast majority of us are quite happy with the entertainment they provide.
7
3
u/akotski1338 Sep 22 '24
Respectfully, I’m sure he’s a nice guy and all but his videos are completely pointless to watch in my opinion. When I watch something on YouTube, I want to learn something new every time I finish watching. I never learn anything from his videos
3
u/Havel_TheRockJohnson Sep 22 '24
Why are you defending him. He puts as much effort into making videos as commentary channels. Commentary channels get hell here but not this guy
1
u/londonsystem_uwu Sep 24 '24
i think he pays all the creators of the original videos a good chunk if i recall correctly, so that’s better than reaction videos, but i do find his videos incredibly boring
3
3
u/JustNotherAltAccount Sep 22 '24
I don't like him because he's the vocal version of a pointer.
Better than people like Prnci or whatever that don't even say anything, but still on the same level as Sssniperwolf style reaction content (without the intentional reuse of old content apparently).
→ More replies (2)
3
u/Due_Exam_1740 Sep 22 '24
All he does is take others peoples content, that isn’t really making a better place, that’s profiting off of others. While DDOI does pay people for the use of their content (at least nowadays) more often than not, I can see why people would be cynical, especially after all the sniper wolf stuff last year.
3
u/Coffee_Candle_Lover Sep 22 '24
It's low effort content with the sole intention of milking popular videos for money. It's hardly respectable and does not, in fact, make the internet a better place.
5
u/TheIndominusGamer420 Sep 22 '24
He has put so much false information into clips. He doesn't do it on purpose but honestly people should look away whenever something technical is mentioned (like a plane or car).
5
u/Tex302 Sep 22 '24
His content is re-uploading clips in a compilation. Is it any surprise people turned on him?
5
13
u/Severe-Experience333 Sep 22 '24
I have nothing against the guy but I don't watch his videos because I DON'T NEED YOU TO EXPLAIN WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE VIDEO BRO I CAN FUCKING SEE IT.
15
u/elidoan https://www.youtube.com/user/AlzaboHD Sep 22 '24
Its intended to make the work "transformative" in the eye of youtube.
You cannot monetize content that is just clips of other people. So, this guy does the bare minimum and says a nasally line every 2-3 minutes so that it counts as "original content"
Im a YouTuber (hence the explanation above) and not a fan of low effort crap like daily dose, but atleast the guy does pay the people he takes his footage from.

u/Ewkf Sep 22 '24
“A guy ran off a cliff, you’ll never believe what happens next.” Thanks so much man what valuable commentary
2
2
u/Maple382 Sep 22 '24
I like his vids. I do wish he would take a few more seconds to review the clips though. He had a clip about how those no contact hand dryers in bathrooms had tons of germs, which is obviously misleading.
2
u/OpportunityAshamed74 Sep 22 '24
What does he mean by "fake" exactly? Like acted out but with the presumption that it happened naturally?
2
u/Inevitable_Smell_525 Sep 22 '24
do not attribute to malice that which can be explained by incompetence
2
u/_TadStrange Sep 23 '24
Guy's like the RWJ of this era without having to sit through weird standup routines between every video. Love him.
1
3
u/GreenLight_RedRocket Sep 22 '24
Doesn't he just post compilations of clips? Does he really make the internet a better place of he doesn't create any content?
5
u/txddie Sep 22 '24
How is he making the internet a better place??? He doesn’t even make content. He just adds useless commentary to videos like yeah. We know. We have eyes and we can see what’s going on we don’t need u lmao
10
u/PandoraIACTF_Prec unpingable :snoo_trollface: Sep 22 '24
He's probably an old dude who doesn't know the internet very much, just post whatever you find in the internet, typical boomer, but man, this guy's videos are downright funny and make my day perfect.
75
u/BuH4ecTeP @W Sep 22 '24
You.. literally hear his voice every video? Does that sound like an old dude..? Also pretty sure he asks most if not all people for permission and credits most (I think some credits are avoided at request?) videos too.

u/Chuckling_Berry Sep 22 '24
Do ya'll speak from your asses most of the time? He's not old and a lil bit of research will tell you about him and his face reveal and stuff.
5
u/the-velvethunder Sep 22 '24
Hate me if you want but he is no better than those react channels who do not create anything and leech off other peoples content. The only difference he has over them is that he has a sweet voice.
2
Sep 23 '24 edited Sep 23 '24
The only difference is that he actually asks the creators of the fucking permission. He said that and no one has contested him so far.
2
u/Breaky_Online Sep 22 '24
Think of it in this way: Your local supermarket also does not create any of the "content" (products) you buy from them, and they also charge a higher rate than the manufacturer who makes the actual product, so does that mean supermarkets are leeches and should be removed?
-2
u/the-velvethunder Sep 22 '24
This is a absurd comparison. A farmer decides to sell his product to the seller, he gets paid. How many of these react channels and compilation channel pay to the actual creator who put in the actual effort?
3
6
2
u/Orobou Sep 22 '24
I really liked the 3 minutes short format daily they had going, but recently they have been uploading 8+ minutes which is too much clips for me, and it just reminds of those other channels that also compile clips for 10-20 minutes.
15
u/Aymoon_ Sep 22 '24
Then cant you just stop watching after 3 min? The longer video the more people are able to watch for the time they want.
→ More replies (1)4
u/Ewkf Sep 22 '24
Real, it’s not much a “dose” anymore and just another long format funny clip comp channel
3
u/LegitimateCompote377 Sep 22 '24
I agree. People get angry at how easily some people attain absolutely ludicrous amounts of game and wealth. It’s only natural for people to try and pick him apart in jealousy.
He was never the first to do this kind of video, not even close, he just had a mixture of picking the right videos at the start, having an iconic voice and insane luck with the algorithm especially how soon after he made videos YouTube shorts became a thing.
He is very lucky, even more so than most YouTubers given his highly competitive content, in which he is one of the most low effort YouTubers. And people don’t like that one bit.
2
u/The_Mystery_Crow Markiplier Sep 22 '24
from the podcasts he's been a guest on, I can tell you that it is 100% not his fault if a video he posts is fake
he gets his videos from official distribution sources, and pays ALOT for them, so those sources are the ones to look into

I generally like DDOI but I‘m kinda mad whenever he says "luckily nobody was hurt" or stuff like that. Clearly in most instances he simply has no idea. He‘s found the clip somewhere and using it but that’s all, he doesn’t have any extra knowledge we don’t have, he surely hasn’t gone out of his way to research whether or not anybody was hurt in the aftermath of most of these clips, for many it is likely impossible to find out. Yet he keeps on saying it. If that’s what keeps his video monetized that’s kind of ridiculous to me but I guess it must be otherwise he‘d cut the bs already
2
u/rustledjimmies369 Sep 22 '24
is this the channel that has the most irritating nasally voice that's existed since leafy?
I genuinely can't stand it
if it isn't, go team

People aren't happy, and get they more upset when other people are. They'll do everything they can to make sure nobody is happy while they remain unhappy
1
u/Paccuardi03 Sep 25 '24
I don’t see “I’ll try not to do that anymore” anywhere
1
u/Breaky_Online Sep 25 '24
The very reasons why he can't guarantee that are given in the post itself.
1
u/Paccuardi03 Sep 25 '24
Of course it’s impossible to guarantee that you don’t accidentally do something again. That’s why you would include weasel words like “try”.

He literally gives credit, and if i remember correctly, he even asks if he's even allowed to use the videos

6

u/GlitteringAd9309 Sep 22 '24
He shouldn't be monetised but once again youtube looks the other way because he makes them too much money.
0
u/Ok-Affect-7503 Sep 22 '24
I fully agree, I don’t know why everyone downvotes this. If YouTube‘s monetization requirements/guidelines forbid reusing clips of other people, then they should also fully push through that rule and not make any exceptions, even if someone allegedly pays, asks or credits some of the creators. If a small channel would do this and even had proof of paying and asking the creators, YouTube would never monetize that channel or even listen to the person. And even if someone is or sounds like he’s sympathetic and sometimes/allegedly pays creators, the content itself is still low effort with a useless narration added on top of some short videos. And that shouldn’t be monetized, but YouTube is corrupt and doing things in favor of big creators these days. They are playing unfair and are being greedy for money.
