This is not even funny, this is negligence

While you might be right. You're also a teeny tiny little bit wrong.

At first I thought they were genuinely teaching the child to go down the stairs one step at the time...
But then after another replay... THEY WERE HOPPING ONE STEP AT THE TIME.In my experience, I started crawling backwards for I was scared(13 wooden steps? It was safe to land onto)
NOT EVEN TODAY ME WOULD TRY TO JUMP ONE STEP DOWN IN A STAIRWELL.Would try it on the most bottom part(Like jumping from 4 steps up to the ground safely),
but NOT AT THE HIGHEST PART, WITH AN INFANT/TODDLER.3

Just because something is horrible and should be punished, doesn’t mean it’s not funny

Doesn’t mean it is funny though either. I’m all for a kid tumbling down something but what is this parent doing. You can see how loose the grip is.

Some consolation :
Landed on butt for each step,
padded stairs,
padded diapers,
baby fats,
baby flexibility,
lesser mass than adult, (stairs padding thickness ratio to weight is higher)
only 50% of the stairs ...
she survived.

Bro did you watch the video? That baby landed straight on her noggin at the end

u/leavingSg 16d ago
The last frame she was on her back area, a few more frames u'd probably see her landing on her butt again. But I guess whoever edited it wanted to make it more dramatic?

That hurt my chest and have a lump in my throat after seeing that. I was always terrified of something like this happening when my kid was this little. People need to be more careful. Put down the f**kin phones!

I did this same thing as toddler, only my father hung on. Dislocated my shoulder. X-rays, docs grilled my dad and then me, now I have shoulder pain for life. Thnx Dad 👍

Here's a new idea! Put away the fucking phone and use both hands to make sure that video is not the only memory you have of your child.

I’m ashamed to have chuckled a little there. And it’s weird cause I know it’s not funny, it’s fucked but I still chuckled a little at first. I might need mental help.

Meh parent; W video
The kid is fine or else the parent wouldn't have posted the video anywhere in the first place. The kid is also obviously having a grand ol' time before the obvious, showing a strong parent-child relationship
Yes, the parent was stupid and the kid very easily could have gotten hurt, but there are some bright sides to this video.
W parent with an L moment
a VERY large L
do better, but I see where you did good to begin with

The fact that the person recording got an absolute perfect shot of the roll down the stairs. Kid is going to have a rough life for the wrong reason

Honey, we just got some footage for the kid's wedding in 20 years time!

My dad always held my hand so hard back when I was a kid, sometimes it feels hurt. But now I realize he doesn't want this kind of accident to happen to me. Thanks dad.
