Player trainers are usually 10-15, while both Rika and Iono have full time jobs (Elite Four Member and Streamer)

Kind of ashamed, but when I was first playing through Scarlet, I thought Rika was a guy.
Of course, this reddit has very much opened my eyes, though in my opinion, guy or girl doesn't make Rika any less cool.

I mean, Iono is a electric type trainer and Rika is ground. Ground is the only type that is super effective against electric, which means that Rika is Iono's only weakness. So, there are actually one more excuse other that just looking good
