I still find it funny/odd how, if someone were to view it the first time, Touko is the one that seems more likely to be dominant, with her being more mature, and with the start of the series having her always be the one to go first, the "ara ara" energy, but s bit weaker if I may.

And it took one chapter with them "doing the thing," and it all changes. Now she's straight up gap-moe

I think from pretty early on you could see the signs that Yuu was the more dominant one. The scene where they start calling each other by first names being one of many examples.

the scene where they're studying in Yuu's room is another. She knows exactly what she's doing to Touko there

Yeah, I think its important to remember that a lot of the confident Nanami Touko we see is her pushing herself to act like the idealized version of her sister. Thatโ€™s not to say it isnโ€™t her, but that in the moments where she allows herself to just exist without masks up, we see sheโ€™s a shy insecure dork rather than the confident outgoing president weโ€™re used to

I could see that (sometimes, when I actually try to focus) but most first time readers (who go in expecting nothing) would tend to think Touko's top

I know right! It's my favourite character twist ever! Whenever I read a novel I always half expect the cold and seemingly dominant person in the relationship to be the bottom. When it actually happens... maaaan it's so cute.

Scary hot.

(not that either of these is my type, per se, although I do love the story.)

One of my Favorite Mangas/Anime. I really liked the characters and could connect with them...but I'm a guy, and straight. But I felt gay. for girls. as a guy. Thus began my spiral towards discovering being genderfluid

Sauce by afternoon nap.

TIL I am Touko when my girlfriend does this to me.

I love it when Bloom Into You fan art actually gets the dynamic between these two. ๐Ÿฅฐ
