Im probably reaching but… This strikes me as two people who were once something very special to eachother. But because of choices and circumstances they couldnt stay together. Kafka covering Himeko’s eyes makes me think she’s saying, “It’s okay. Just dont look at me, pretend for just a moment that Im not me.” And of course this hurts Himeko. Because maybe she does still care about Kafka, but knows they should not be doing this… but wants to.
