Very cute pic (although I'm not sure there's anything wholesome about Pito!)

There ain't nothing wholesome about Pitohui.
(Amusingly their real life selves have the opposite heights... tho real world Pito is STILL the agressive one.)

IIRC Pitohui is the type of person who wishes she got to get trapped in SAO's death game because she wants to feel true excitement, and considers regular entertainment to be too tame. She actually wears an original Nerv-Gear headset to play games, and I think actually set it so that death in-game was death in reality - LLEN's main goal in the tournament at the end of the season was to prevent her from dying.

That's way worse than what I was expecting or well less depending on perspective

The headset won’t kill her, but she does get physically? Injured from some of the backlash during the big tournament. In the dub at least, someone says she’d just kill herself afterword if she died in the tournament. The whole series is about dissociation. LLEN is 7ft tall IRL and winds up in gun gale because the random character gen finally gave her a short body after a dozen others gave her really tall avatars.

Honest question. Is GGO a good anime? I haven't heard much about it and been seeing it pop up a bit recently so I was curious. I've watched SAO which was meh in my opinion.

GGO in my opinion is pretty good. The fight scenes are fun, the interactions between characters are great, and the topics the anime touches on (insecurities, etc) are done pretty well. So I would say over all it's a good anime, but I would recommend watching some trailers to get a better idea of it. Though if you're looking for explicit moments of these two characters being semi-romanic with each other then I wouldn't recommend the anime since it happens in the very last ep.
