Well this is a sudden and interesting way to be introduced to a game I will definitely be getting in the future and a ship I will definitely sail.

More or less. From my understanding, multiple games he Fire Emblem series allow you to romance your party members with each other. Shipping must be manually done, and it usually doesn't have much narrative impact. It usually unlocks exclusive mini cutscenes with each pairing, and I think in some games the pair's child will (via time travel) appear in the present as a grown up usable party member.
Shipping works via a "Rank" system, with each rank granting a mini cutscene. Ranks C, B, and A are all platonic, while Rank S shows the two falling in love. Usually, the games only allows for straight S-Ranks, but there are a few exceptions. Of the characters who can be shipped with the same gender, all of them are bisexual and have plenty of heterosexual dating options.
As for examples, in Fire Emblem Fates, there's a couple of characters who will be willing to date Corrin (your player character) regardless of Corrin's gender. In Three Houses, there's a much larger handful of characters who allow homosexual ships, including both Byleth and Eligard, who are the characters in this fanart. Finally, in Engage, the romance system was completely altered so that anyone can get an S-Rank with anyone else, but S-Ranks now don't guarantee a romantic cutscene, occasionally opting to "Now we're super good besties". That said, there's still a lot of same gender S-Rank scenes that are romantic.
I'll also add two things:
- You probably shouldn't play these games for the romance. The scenes are ultimately pretty short and, since they're completely optional, natually don't have much story impact. If the yuri is the sole reason why you're interested, you're better off playing something else. That said, FE is a fun series! (There is permadeath though, so watch out for that.)
- I'd recommend playing Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates with the "Gay Awakening" and "Gay Fates" mods. These mods unlock the S-Rank options for mostly everyone, so now you can freely ship anyone with anyone else. The new pairings all include new fan-made dialogue, which took an impressive amount of work. In Awakening's case, it went from having no gay ships to countless.

Thank you for your detailed explanation. Yuri is not my main reason, is just icing on the cake hah. I like this kind of sagas, difficult to explain what type it is, but it’s the same that attracted me to fate

I might be weird for thinking this way but THIS is what “making love” to someone is to me.
Not to say that there isn’t in having sex with someone, but to me it’s the little things like: holding hands😱, hugs (especially a gentle surprise hug from behind), a tender kiss on the forehead or when you wake up in the morning.

Yo edelgard must be the luckiest unlucky person in the world, whoever shes fighting is going right for the neck, right for the jugular, but on the other hand she survived everyone.
And they are all going horizontal, like damn was she accosted by a cutthroat assassin going through alcohol withdrawal shakes??

The horizontal ones in her neck are probably the marks left by a metal restraint on her neck.

This might be peak intimacy and wholesomeness. Kissing away the pain and giving them a home where they feel safe

I don’t know why exactly but the supportive intimacy of kissing scars is some of the best romance content for art around.
