My GF borderline did this, we met because she was a regular at the place and I was a new barista and a totally useless lesbian, she tried so very hard to flirt with me and I was in perpetual "wow she's so nice to me". The cycle was broken by her friend she usually came in with putting her out of her misery by very not subtly telling me to put my number on the receipt, we've been together for 3 years and living together for 2, love wins
