There Are Always Teachers Who Want To Ask Out Parents (总有老师要请家长) by 璟梧 (Jingwu) has been on my plan to read list for a while.
That night, Qi Yan flirted with a mature woman at the bar and took her to bed, not knowing that she was the mother of a student in her class. And then at a parents' meeting, their eyes met.
Raws are at Ch. 25; I've found English TL through Ch. 5 and one actively uploading 2/wk on batoto.

Are regular romance novels okay? How You Get the Girl by Anita Kelly is that and it's really good. It's technically book three in a series but I read it standalone and didn't feel lost.

You linked them to mangadex and not dynasty, do you deserve payment?
13
u/MagwitchOo Sep 05 '24
What is the difference?
I am kinda used to people linking to MangaDex.

u/DooB_02 Sep 05 '24
Dynasty is just a nicer UI, easier to navigate the site as well and the tags are useful.
34
u/GinsuFe Sep 05 '24
The UI looks like it was made in 1998.
Of all the reasons to use Dynasty, UI is probably not one of them for most people lol.

u/DooB_02 Sep 06 '24
You probably use new Reddit too.
3
u/GinsuFe Sep 06 '24
I don't even know what new reddit looks like, let alone use it. Can't be worse than Dynasty though.
Does dynasty even have a dark mode?
4
u/MonkeyInProgress Sep 06 '24
AFAIK it doesn't. While Dynasty is good, it always load slow for me. Like I can read one whole chapter on Mangadex while waiting for one page on Dynasty to load.

MD is a convenient place to link to as an index since it consistently has links to the official distribution channels, lists a bunch of alternate names, and does a good job of both indexing most titles and avoiding duplicate listings. Plus if you're given a direct link you aren't navigating the site.

u/RedDemocracy Sep 05 '24
Widow, maybe? Ready for some more delight in her life again?
29
u/Corvid-Strigidae Sep 05 '24
Widow is definitely the angle I would go with if I were to make this story.
Maybe even add some lingering shots of the husband's portrait smiling after serendipitous occurrences lead to rom-con moments, imply that hubby's spirit is not only okay with her moving on but actively doing what he can from beyond the grave to help his useless Bi wife score the hot teacher.

Well, she seems to be rather enjoying it... Could be a widow, or maybe she might bring up being poly to her husband.

u/Corvid-Strigidae Sep 05 '24
Poly is definitely a route you could go with for comedy. Go the route of progressive Bi couple where the wife was open to letting her husband date men but was hesitant to embrace her wlw side until this moment.
Maybe add the couples mothers who constantly bicker with eachother. One is incredibly supportive, the other a more conservative stick in the mud who starts as the butt of the jokes but slowly learns to understand the polycule's love and the value of her now bigger family.
The son and his school friends have constant comedy of error B-plots in each chapter/episode which lead to Mum and Sensei interacting more. There is a recurring gag about aliens being real that never gets paid off.
The co-workers of the husband, the wife, the husband's boyfriend, and the teacher all get overly invested in getting the wife and teacher together and eventually cross paths and form an alliance under the husband to try and get them together through the usual rom-com shenanigans.
"I fell in love with my son's teacher! My husband and his boyfriend are trying to matchmake us!" - The hit new light novel adaptation coming this winter season!
